Rakel Solvadottir – Founder reKode 

At the age of nine, Rakel Solvadottir convinced her parents to buy her a Sinclair Spectrum computer as a form of bribery for staying home while her parents went on a holiday. She taught herself how to program through code and play-back mechanisms.  She began her journey as an entrepreneur in 2011 when she started reKode’s sibling; Skema Education.  ReKode teaches children from the age of six how to code through a proven methodology. Learn More About Rakel and reKode.

Ken MyerKen Myer – Seasoned executive and start-up advisor

Ken is an experienced technology executive with a record of success in both start-ups and Fortune 100 environments. Recognized three times for building a “best company to work for” and in 2009 recognized as one of Seattle’s most influential business leaders. Most recently, he acted as an advisor to UW start-up, Qazzow, where he currently acts as a board member. Ken received his MBA from UW and currently serves as director and advisor to a number of companies including Vantage Point, Data I/O, Esna Technologies, PetHub, Inc., and Transformative Med. Read about Qazzow’s recent success.

John Alderson – Founder LifeULista

John got tired of trying to kill himself over a sandwich.  He wanted to make a difference, changing individuals perceptions of what eating disruptive behaviors are about. He developed LifeULista with the goal in mind of giving a voice to those who can’t – or aren’t ready. It isn’t a cure, it is an opportunity to share, make a community and obtain the life support each of us need. Aman Bhutani


Aman Bhutani leads the engineering team for the Expedia brand. The brand technology team focuses on the web tier of our global platform and services that offer differentiation from other brands. The Expedia technology team is at the heart of the brand’s product based growth strategy and have team members in many cities across the planet. Aman joined Expedia in 2010 after many years in financial services and consulting.

Ed Sarausad


Ed Sarausad is practice principal for Alacer’s technology solutions group. As such, Ed is responsible for managing and growing Alacer’s big data and data science consulting businesses as well as for forming key worldwide strategic technology partnerships.

With over 20 years of progressive Internet/IT/SaaS experience, from startups to established businesses, Ed is a champion for performance, cloud, mobile, and creating disruptive innovations using analysis of real-time data. His accomplishments include helping advance a $300 million online advertising market in Japan and Korea as well as transforming online services for banking, retail and travel clients around the world. He holds patents in data visualization, mobile advertising and binary differencing. A global communicator, Ed is fluent in Japanese and proficient in several other languages.



Software engineering and business leader, creative innovator and architect, and results-oriented manager. Over 20 years of proven software business experience in building and releasing advertising platforms, consumer services and enterprise products, yielding revenues of multi-billion dollars/year. He is also a Board of Director Member for ICON – International Consulting Opportunities with NGOs.

Dr. Hoehn-Weiss teaches strategic management at both the graduate and undergraduate level. In 2012 and in 2013 she was honored by her MBA students with the Technology MBA Professor of the Year Teaching Award. 

Dr. Hoehn-Weiss earned her doctorate at Boston University in Strategy and Policy, and she holds a B.S.C. degree (magna cum laude) in Marketing from Santa Clara University. Prior to pursuing her doctorate, Dr. Hoehn-Weiss worked in industry in Silicon Valley, California. She held program management and product marketing positions at Cisco Systems, as well as international marketing management and product marketing management positions at Livingston Enterprises and Lucent Technologies.
